I avoided this story for a few days because I thought it would be something about how aliens abducted dinosaurs or something. Turns out it's about a guy who dreams about UFOs, it's actually a descent read.
Jurassic Possible UFO Abduction
In the story he describes one of his dreams, "I saw myself in front of a mirror. Someone was at my side. It was probably an ordinary mirror. I was looking at myself and I noticed that I had very odd eyes - " alien like eyes "and I was even proud of it - UFODigest". Now this got my imagination running, what if we are all aliens and don't know it, They come down and check on some of us and then make us forget again. I don't know but I like the story.

Abouts Top 10 Earth Mysteries list
paranormal.about has a cool list of the Top 10 Earth Mysteries. My favorite on the list is number one " Animals Encased in Stone", this is something that has amazed me for years, imagining a frog encased in stone laying dormant for thousands of years and then being freed and coming back to life. Just seems like such an amazing idea.
I haven't posted in awhile because I had a bout of food poisoning, from McDonald's of all places.

Ghost train caught on video
I did have a link to a better quality version, but that now seems dead, luckily I did find a low quality version of the ghost video on youtube.

Well I don't know if it's a train but to me it looks like a carriage or train thing it's also very orby. The write up on youtube says it was filmed as part of an investigation in southern Indiana in 2001, it was taken by a fellow called Carl Proctor and I think he is associated with Darkwatch inc.
The video shows a few people walking through a wooded area in search of a graveyard, about mid way through the video a strange orb thing floats towards and past a man that is in view at the time, none of the people in the video notice it and carry on walking.
My first reaction was "cool a ghost train" but I slowed it down and I really couldn't decide what it looked like, so I'm just going with a cluster of orbs (New window) along with some ghost mist, if they are orbs they're really dense.

Back to the asylum
We went back to the asylum again last night, we had a few more friends this time, there were 7 of us. When we got to the site half of us chickened out and we all debated weather or not we should go in, 3 went back to the car and 4 of us stayed. We stepped into the doorway of the entrance and continued to debate if we should go in, while this was happening one of my friends fell over and cut his hand, he took off back to the car and the rest followed. All this happened within about 5-10 minutes so I didn't get to take many photos and the photos that I took didn't reveal anything.

For a first attempt at doing something like this it failed miserably, some people didn't want to be there, some had been drinking and I don't think I had done enough research on the place. Had there been ghost sightings there before, I didn't know I went in blind but as we were heading home one of my friends said he'd seen lots of things around this hospital that he couldn't explain, I really don't know but next time I go on a ghost hunt I'm going to be a lot more prepared.

A night in the Lunatic Asylum
Last night me and a few friends decided to go up to the old Porirua Lunatic Asylum, most of the hospital is now closed, has been for a few years now. The closure was the governments idea to reintroduce long-stay patients back into the wider community, I know some patients who had lived in the hospital for most of their adult lives, it was their home and they were more or less evicted from their home. Most of the buildings have been reutilized but some buildings are derelict and run down.
We hadn't planned on going there, we were just driving around looking to have some fun and happened to drive past it. A few drinks were had I must admit and I don't think we actually knew we were parked up outside the abandoned buildings, we just hopped out of the car and started walking, it was about 4:30am at this point. We walked into some thick bush and as we came to the other side we saw the two buildings, we weren't expecting that, freaked us all out.

As we were about to enter the first building one of my friends said screw this and took off back to the car, the rest of us carried on. We entered by the main entrance I think and the first thing we all saw has a big sturdy wooden chair with a box base in the middle of a hall way, we went in for a closer look and saw that it had a hole in seat of it, it was an old style toilet, we had a few laughs and headed up stairs.
We checked out most of the rooms but the scariest ones were the bathrooms, most of the doors were closed and we scared ourselves silly opening them up, who knows what could have been behind them, we found out nothing was behind them. There were also some rooms with big heavy doors with small porthole like windows in them, I'm thinking they were padded cells. Most of the rooms were pretty much all the same, broken glass all over the place, graffiti on the walls, old furniture placed into living room type arrangements, it looked as if a lot of squatters used the place from time to time.
We got lost for awhile trying to find the stairs but we eventually found them. On the first floor there was a garage that was pretty cool it had three old vehicles in it, scared ourselves daring each other to hop in them and close the doors, none of us did.
When we finished with the first building we went and checked out the other one but that was pretty much the same. We didn't see anything unexplainable which was a shame but I'm gonna head back up there at some point with my camera and check it out when I'm sober.
