The Big Paranormal Stories of 2007

With the end of the year fast approaching it's time to look back on what made the past year so special, for me a few things stick out, they may not the most paranormal stories of the year but they were huge items that took the paranormal and mainstream web by storm in 2007.

There are loads more big stories from 2007 but frankly I can't remember them all, feel free to add to the list with a comment.

The Italian Air Force UFO Video was one of the first big ones to hit early on in 07, it may even be from 2006? with its straight forward no nonsense realistic approach it quickly spread across the web as something spectacular. I don't know what conclusions were made but to me it's most probably computer generated, I certainly got a whole lot of traffic because of it.


The Drone photos left people thinking to good to be true, but over the weeks as more photos from seemingly different sources surfaced I think people started to wonder what if? Then came the Isaac documents which led to in depth analysis and discussions and then it all dried up. Well apart from the computer generated videos that seem almost as good as the photos.


ZEITGEIST the Movie has gone from strength to strength, with all the different versions floating about it's hard to gauge just how many people have seen it, maybe in the tens of millions. The movie dares to ask questions about religion, the terrible tragedy of 911 and how and who may be controlling our world. Presenting information in a way that lets you wonder about the truth yourself and to find your own good ideas.


The Haiti UFO Videos spread like butter on my morning toast, but was quick to be debunked by dedicated people who knew their shit, though through all the hype I don't feel that came across all to well. Something that didn't catch on like the main videos was the news that the creator had come forward. Seems like every fifth new UFO video on youtube is the haiti one.



The Jacob's Bigfoot photos I didn't follow all that much, but it was a huge story, my feed reader was full of headlines for this one and still is for that matter. It gained mainstream media attention, most of the time with a smirk. I still can't make out what it's doing or where the head is supposed to be, but I did see some overlays recently that made it make more sense.

The Gas Station Ghost is the baby of the lot, spreading and doing its thing. I find it unique, it's blue and does some strange things.


There are loads more but I probably don't remember them because I didn't follow them, Cryptomundo has a great list of The Top Ten Cryptozoology Stories for 2007.

The video if real is remarkable, but it does remind me a whole lot of the Italian Air Force Video, you know the one that supposedly shows an advanced military vehicle. i wonder what conclusions were made of that one.

This one has the same kind of quality and feel, looks real enough, but feels setup.

I think this is my first time doing this, using the "Blog This" feature of flickr, I hope it's aloud, it seems so though.

I have a group on flickr called Scary Creepy Weird, I actually forgot I had it. Turns out it has been ticking along and it now has over 1,400 photos submitted to it, great photos to.

Bigfoot Sounds on Video

I remember hearing some recordings of supposed Bigfoot sounds a while ago and it was some freaky shit, I can't remember where I heard them but I think they were similar to the sounds in the video below, only louder.

Looks like the videos done the rounds but I thought I'd post it anyway, Bigfoot's one of my fav subjects and I gotta catch em all.

It sounds almost artificial to me, but I know when I hear strange animal noises I get a case of the unbelievables.

Ghost in the Attic

Finally got some time to have a look around, so hopefully I can blitz some paranormal videos out.

The clip below looks setup, looks expensive though. The video starts with an old lady who is acting as a medium by painting a picture of an entity that is tormenting the filmers little girl. The filmer hears his girls cries and investigates with scary results.

Looks to me heavily inspired by the movie The Grudge, could even be from a movie, who knows?

Working 9 to 9 what a way to make a living

I was ready to go all out on a mega posting spree but after scrolling through thousands of head lines my eyes just wont stay open. I have the morning off tomorrow and thought I could stay up late and catch up on all the news, some good reads in there but they've ended up in my "to read later" bookmark folder.

I'm so feeling sorry for myself at the moment, working 9 to 9 each day is getting to me, but hey it'll all be over soon and I can enjoy my time again, then again it's the silly season and people make crazy strange bookings.

Light fixtures and my grandfather - SP

I remember the first time I ever saw a dimmer switch for a light in action, it was at my grandfathers house and he was showing them off as he had just installed them, that was years ago.

That's what I think of when I see the words light fixtures, my grandfather dimming the lights from bright to dim and back again.

Popups and Blockers - SP

Quite awhile ago on this blog I had a widget that was creating pop ups, I didn't actually realize it until I read an article on another blog, I guess why I didn't notice it was because I must have a good popup blocker.

There are so many things out there that we can add to our blogs, some of them may have unwanted results.

Not much time to chat, just enough time for my other job, blogging that is. There's quite a few sponsored posts on the front page at the moment, sorry bout that, but if I don't complete the assignments, well I kind of get fired.

I usually follow up such posts with a few paranormal posts, but I'm just not having the time to search for videos and news, so expect to see loads of omnibus posts in about six days.

Drug Rehab - Sp

I've done a post about drug rehabilitation before and I'm thinking for the same place as well, but I'll say it again, having good support if you want to get off the stuff is I feel essential, that and getting away from people that may be enabling your addiction, you know the people you party with.

If your in the thick of it, getting away and reflecting could possibly make a difference.

Bush Furniture in the Forest - SP

Bush furniture inspired thoughts of a man in the forest in a little old bush hut smoking a pipe, but that's not quite what I got.

Anyway I guess people like nice furniture, myself I would love a custom made wooden desk with load of cool compartments, secret ones, even some kind of wooden mechanics going on where you push a button and everything pops open, that would be cool.

I won't be around here to often the next 9 or so days, I'll be working a lot and won't have to much time for blogging. Trust me I'd rather be blogging, just a lot of shifts to fill at work and not to many people around to cover them. So for the next week and a bit I'll be master chef, I hope I don't go all Gordon Ramsey.

Hopefully I can take this time to step back from this blog and get some fresh ideas and come back to it ready to roll. Knowing me though, I'll probably stay up late to post and suffer for it at work, no pain no gain for something you love right.

Makeup Mirrors and Rear Views - SP

I don't have to much experience with makeup mirrors, I've mainly used them to check out the back of my head after hair cuts.

Other than that the only thing I can think of is that my mother uses the rear view mirror of her car as one, firmly tilted, just side ways so she can see herself and the cars behind, makes for an interesting ride for sure.

Golf Carts and Parts - SP

My friend's into golf quite a bit and I know I'd be more into it if I only had a golf cart, but hey that's the stuff of dreams.

All I know is if me and my friends had a golf cart we'd be needing a whole lot of golf cart parts.

We'd probably end up spending most of our time riding on the cart than playing golf, then again I wonder how fast we could finish a round with one of those puppies.

Not much info with this video apart from Natuashish the location mentioned.

Looks very impressive, but I'm thinking it's a fake and so do a lot of the youtube commenter's but their a caustic bunch, they could be a little more polite.

The stationary camera and low contrast are perfect for an overlay of two pieces of film, you don't get the well defined shadows and reflections as you would on say a sunny day. You can do something pretty similar if you follow my how to make a fake ghost video tutorial.

Could be a possibility.

Exterior Lighting - SP

From how hot it is in the kitchen at work these days, summer is definitely here. I'm looking forward to the long nights and barbeque's, just hanging out you know. When the sun does decide to leave us for the day exterior lighting would be great to continue the night.

Th nights down here in summer are pretty hot and It's nicer to spend that time outside than in a stuffy house.

Rome Cave, Bizarre Cow and Bigfoot attacks

Boo Post, been awhile.

Up late last night and I gave myself the creeps, first off the chairs in my dinning room which are usually nicely tucked under the table were all widely spread out, a little unusual, maybe people came over before I got home last night. Secondly I was in my bedroom with the door closed when all of a sudden it opened with a bang.

Nothing paranormal here just me spooking myself, I'm probably watching to many poltergeist videos.

Anyway here's whats been Paranormal today. I sift through so much news each day that I really should make use of it.

Lost cave found in Rome - "Italian archaeologists believe they have found the cave where, according to legend, a wolf suckled Romulus and Remus, the twin founders of Rome." I love these kinds of discoveries.

Have you Been Attacked by Bigfoot? - A pretty in depth guide explaining what to look for if you think you may have been attacked by Bigfoot, funny and informative at the same time.

Humanoid looking baby cow - It looks really bizarre.

Not that paranormal, but stories I didn't want to make individual posts about that I found interesting.

Extraterrestre Fresno, Alien or Ghost?

Finally a decent Ghost video, been awhile, almost thought ghosts were on vacation. On second thought maybe they think it's an Alien.

The subject in this video reminds me a little of the Valentown Ghost kind of moves all freaky like. This ghostly thing seems very solid and casts a shadow, but at times to me it looks like a pair of walking legs.

The videos associated with this website and someone named Victor Camacho, I don't know who that is, but he seems pretty active in the paranormal community.

Resident Evil Haunted House

If your a fan of the Resident Evil games you'd be wishing you could go to Fuji-Q highland in Japan where at the moment they've converted their haunted house attraction into a Resident Evil experience.

Man I'd love to check that thing out, puts the last couple of haunted houses I mentioned to shame.

I've always thought movies and videos games would make for great murder mystery weekends you know, set up a house dedicated to the theme, let loose some paying customers, have them solve puzzles, find keys, fight off monsters, make it really hard core. Would be great.

Big Triangle UFO over San Diego

Here's one of the more impressive UFO videos I've seen in awhile, reminds me a little of the Phoenix lights.

Shot while driving home from San Diego by two friends, they followed it for quite awhile, about 4 minutes total for the video below but the description mentioned about 16 minutes worth of footage. The description also mentions that this footage has been lightened for better viewing.

The video shows quite a few sparkling lights, they change formation a lot and even seem to multiply at times, the video finishes with the lights in a triangular formation.

The description says that at times they could see the outline of the craft, and the feeling is that all the lights are from one craft.

This looks like the address shown in the video.

Pretty cool video, but I would have liked to have seen some points for reference, ain't a perfect world after all.

Poltergeist Throws Lumber

The video below kind of reminds me of the Paranormal Activity in a video store video I posted about awhile back.

It shows a pretty ordinary scene, a guy doing some work in what looks like a storage warehouse, then a plank of word appears to move on it's own falling to the floor.

I don't think I've actually ever watched a full game of American Football but I sure do know what the Super Bowl is, even from down here in New Zealand.

If I had Super Bowl tickets I'd certainly make sure I could get there. One of the most amazing times I ever had was going to the Wellington Sevens, the Sevens is an excuse for about 30,000 people to dress up in all manner of costumes, get drunk and watch rugby for a couple days. We didn't dress up last time and we felt out of place, really gotta think of something to go as for the next one.

I imagine the Super Bowl to be similar, great time, though a little more focused on the the game.

Prints of Darkness, Big Cats of NZ

Down here in New Zealand one of our more well known mysteries is that of big black cats that are said to roam the Canterbury high country in New Zealand. Plenty of eye witnesses and even some footage. I wrote about this before briefly with interest in a documentary a couple of university students were making.

The documentary is out I think and it's called Prints of Darkness, I'm guessing if you want it you'll have to get in contact with the makers, I'd say it's burn to order.

The website has loads of information about the mystery black cats, Pip Walls and Mark Orton whos film it is and the inspiration and background of the film. You can also view the trailer for Prints of Darkness here.

I had no idea a Ghostbusters game was in development, what a pleasant surprise. The game actually looks pretty good, the environments and style looks right out of the movie.

Haunted Mansion Attractions

I wish I had of known about The Haunted Mortuary sooner, it would have made a great Halloween post.

The Haunted Mortuary looks like loads of fun, I don't know much about it apart from it's located in New Orleans in an old real life mortuary, actors all dressed to the teeth in all kinds of scary costumes, bloody props, just your all round haunted house.

The place is actually supposed to really be haunted and they have proper ghost tours on offer as well. The video below looks like a behind the scenes promo vid, crossed with some Blair witch.

I remember as a kid the ghost train rides and haunted houses at the local fairs, boy were they crappy, never lived up to what I was expecting and left me wanting my hard earned pocket money back.

Lucky though that New Zealand has something very similar to the haunted attraction above called Spookers, pretty much the same, actors in make-up, props, scaring the living daylights out of their customers. Though it looks like apart from the haunted mansion they also have a haunted forest and haunted maze, seasonal though. It's in Auckland, quite aways from me, but a quick phone call to my cuz and I got me a place to stay woot.

Secret NASA Transmissions - Smoking Gun

Secret NASA Transmissions - Smoking Gun is one of those UFO films that if you're interested in the subject you should really watch, a vast majority of the NASA UFO footage comes about because of the guy interviewed in this film Martin Stubbs. Martin Stubbs is or was a cable TV station manager in Vancouver, he used the facilities to hook up to NASA transmissions and in what seems like a massive undertaking has screened through probably thousands of hours of footage looking for UFO phenomena.

From the footage compiled you get to see how painstaking that task would have been and without this guys dedication many of it may have gone unnoticed.

The film I feel is actually just a little bit to long, I watched it quite awhile ago and at the moment I'm struggling to watch it again, but it is very interesting and if you've seen the many unorganized NASA UFO clips floating around on youtube, it's nice to have them in context and to know why and how they came about.

I feel this film is a great starting point if your interested in this area of ufology and the NASA transmissions, it saves time looking for information on small clips putting them all together with a common origin.

This ones been doing the rounds, certainly more blue than most ghostly videos. Is it paranormal activity caught on tape? I've read discussions ranging from blue bugs to shopping bags, anything seems game.

I'd say pretty easily faked, but boy are they affective, if real you don't get to see em like this very often.

Florida Skunk Ape Video

I can't make out anything at all in this video, that's why I'm posting about it. Why would someone go through the trouble to write up a good description and story behind a video, only to not be able to make out anything.

I don't know, if anyone can make out anything please let us know.

The video has a lot of image noise and from the description what they saw was human like only larger and had light-brown hair and took off when they tried to approach. It was shot in Florida so Skunk Ape comes to mind.

Is it just a lame hoax or could it be they saw something genuine but had bad luck with a crappy camera.

Teenage Alien Angst

What if Earth were the Alien equivalent of the haunted house across town where the creepy cat lady lived, what if they were nothing more than teenage Aliens with angst and a fancy for causing a ruckus. The signs are there, lets explore.

• UFOs travel really really fast, so do pimped out cars.
• UFOs are stylish with a certain amount of bling factor, so are pimped out cars.
• UFOs crash sometimes, so do boy racers.
• They must have some connections because the crashes are covered up pretty well, just like boy racers with well off parents.
• UFOs appear high in the sky, boy racers just high.
• Aliens seem shy, so do most teenage humans.
• Nobody knows where aliens come from or what they're doing, same can be said about human teens.
• They are prone to sporadic bouts of revealing themselves, human teens are prone to spontaneous bouts of showing off.
• We all know about aliens and probes, teenagers find that funny to.
• Aliens like to mess with cows, ever heard of cow tipping, it's a popular rural pass time here on Earth.

From the list above we can begin to paint a picture, aliens could have to much time on their hands, with no sense of real purpose apart from the desire to seek out cheap thrills and to live in the moment.

Earth could be that creepy place where the strange creatures live, a place full of possible mischief, without consequences that is only visited every now and then mainly because it's kind of out of the way and off the main circuit. Flying around like your a rally car driver on the perfect road without a care in the world, stopping off to tip some cows (cattle mutilations and you know how humans love to wear dead animals) and maybe even that door knocking at the haunted house leaving a bag of flaming poop on the porch (sleep paralysis, abduction and probes).

In the end leaving earth with tales to tell, a few trophies and bragging rights. But you know they'll be back because some other teenage alien will definitely want to top the other.

Please take the above with a huge grain of salt.

Strange Creature found in Russia

What could this mysterious Creature found in Russia be?

I first found out about the images here, great forum, my first impressions also were of a Horseshoe Crab, though it looks like they've found out what it is, a Triop.

If you check out the first link it is said the creature in these photos measured around 5 feet in length and a lot of the other places I have seen the images claim similar large sizes and varying stories as to its origin. If you really look at the pictures though you can see that it is tiny.

Anyway bought back fears of face huggers for me.

O'Hare UFO Photos Help

Does anyone know if these images are genuine photos from the O'Hare UFO incident from last year.

Here's the link to the blog post which has a few photos of a craft over an airport, the post is talking about the recent National Press Club, UFO conference.

I feel I've seen the photos before, but it has been hard to track them down to a source that talks more about them, probably photoshoped or something.

Moller Skycar, yours for 100k odd

What ever happened to the Moller Skycar? We were all supposed to be flying around in them by now and for the low, low price of $100,000 at that.

This seems pretty old, the reporter seemed really excited.


Paul Moller, the guy behind them still seems to be going strong, even announcing a new model this year. If you goto Moller's website you to can place a deposit on the latest M400 Skycar, I don't know if the Moller 200 X or the Moller 300 are still on offer.

Would be cool to have one of these, though they do look a little dangerous. I actually don't know if since the 70s anyone has actually gotten their craft delivered, seems to me he's taking deposits to feed the development with promises of delivery in the not to distant future. Could be wrong though.

About some of the changes

Added a few things around here, I think I'm about to go a widget binge, I'd better calm down a bit.

I added a long over due About Me page, something a little more in depth than the default blogger one and I hope people get to know me a little better because of it.

I added a poll to the sidebar, I hope the results help me better know what people want to see around here, always good.

I also added something of a chat room feature, it's more of a shout box type thing, but I don't know, maybe people will be able to get some conversations going or something. Still in testing, I don't know what the full features are yet, what I do know is that it's listed on the service providers site so people who don't find the chat room through this blog can also access it from there, maybe be able to meet some new people or something.

About Me and My Paranormal Life

This has been a long time coming, a proper introduction and about me page, I don't usually write about myself to much and I have a thing about keeping anonymous on the net, I don't know why, it's not that bad of a place, one day maybe I'll put up a photo of myself, but only on a good day.

Anyway here goes, I'm of Maori and European descent and have lived all my life down here in Wellington, New Zealand. I am a classically trained Artist and graphic designer, huge student loan and no high paying job lol, suits me fine, I'm a cruisy type of guy.

I've been interested in the paranormal ever since I can remember, probably has something to do with being allowed to watch horror movies from an early age and that my father and grandmother both knew I was into monsters, ghosts and UFOs, they'd always buy me comic books and books about myths and legends and such.

At best I'm an armchair enthusiast, but I have had my fair share of paranormal experiences, seen something in the sky I can't explain, have seen an apparition and have had some paranormal activity surround me, which I have not written about yet. I have also seen some strange things along beaches and the ocean.

I've had My Paranormal Life going for about a year and a half now and I try to post here as frequently as I can, most of my posts deal with paranormal videos I find across the web, I sift through loads of junk to present the best and most interesting videos I can find, I also try to present the latest paranormal news and from time to time my own art and thoughts on subjects.

I don't see myself waning anytime soon and I see many more years of posting to My Paranormal Life, it's a passion and a pleasure to do this and I have found the online paranormal community to be a very knowledgeable and interesting lot and have learned many great things in the year and a half I have been doing this.

I don't know how to finish this so I'll leave with one of my favorite quotes.

Cat5E Cables - SP

When I first got high speed Internet I used the cable that was supplied along with the modem, I struggled with the for a few months and pretty annoyed so I went out and got me a big fat Ethernet cable, the change in speed was astonishing.

I'm not sure if the cable I got is a Cat5E, but all I know is that having the right equipment can make an Internet connection a whole lot more optimal.

The Mangy Explanation

Following up from my last post "Chupacabras Video" I'd like to talk some about the two most recent cases that have mangy explanations.

I've seen this article circling about quite a lot, "How Monsters are Made" which discusses the latest Jacobs Bigfoot photos and the recent Texas Chupacabras.

What the article discusses is mainly why I hadn't posted about those two cases previously, I wanted to but hey the simplest explanation is usually the best, both looked like sick animals to me and the "Bigfoot" one, well I've looked at those photos heaps and I still can't make out what the hell the animal is doing. From most Bigfoot sighting reports I have read, those photos don't really sit well with a lot of the descriptions, Bigfoot is hairy, and old Chupa, well there's a whole other description for what it may look like.

I just hope that the mangy explanation doesn't become the first call in identifying such evidence, especially with the main stream news coverage that these cases have had, the last conclusion is usually the first in the next story of its type. I feel you have to take on each new case individually and without hard evidence the research will be a lot harder and conclusions will usually result in theories.

Chupacabras Video

Everyone remember the recent Chupacabras from Texas reports? well the DNA test results have been on Cryptomundo for awhile now and is probably a good explanation for the video below.

I like to think of Chupacabras as being more of the big teeth, big claws, big eyes spines running down the back standing on hind legs descriptions, not of something that looks like a mangy dog, though the latter would be much more realistic.

I don't know, the poor thing below looks really uncomfortable.

Has Ron Paul seen Zeitgeist the Movie?

Or did the makers of the Zeitgeist movie see Ron Paul?

The first time I heard of Ron Paul was by watching a brief interview on youtube, I had no idea who he was and had no idea he was running for President of the states, my first impressions were of an honest guy who didn't double talk. In my opinion the U.S should elect this guy, just please don't elect another dumbas.

Anyway what Ron Paul says in a lot of his interviews and what not goes pretty much exactly along the same lines as the third part of Zeitgeist the movie and a lot of what he says makes plain sense.

Port Authority Clothing - SP

I think port authority clothing is a brand of clothing, not to sure, what was interesting for me when this offer was presented to me was the video at the link, it was actually really funny and was for something called the super shirt, the thing looks near indestructible.

Back to Port Authority, looks like a nice range of clothing and accessories which you can browse and purchase online.

Paranormal Activity in a video store

Looks like security footage from a video store, is it paranormal activity caught on tape?

Could be really easy to fake, what sets it a part from similar poltergeist videos is the security cam set-up, have had a few people contact me asking how to make a fake with the same security cam set-up.

Demon over the shoulder

Here's a video showing what looks like a demon over a mans shoulder, taken in Aurora at a wedding reception, the demon looks kind of like a dog.

The video at the link will give you the full story. Looks very convincing to me, it was shown to rocky mountain paranormal research society, their comments were that it was very interesting, but there was a lack of evidence to conclude much.

Cool picture, it does look like what it looks like, but other than that can you really go any deeper into it?

Paranormal Whispers

Have you ever noticed how the information for some paranormal type videos circulating around the net degrades, it's like a game of Chinese whispers (P.C version someone?), the info is out there but as the videos fade away and reappear with renewed interest, info gets lost and usually new investigations and discussions ensue.

It would be nice if the originating info traveled with such videos, but that's just not the nature of the net.

Below are a few examples of videos that seem to have sustained interest, though info doesn't travel well with them.

Ghost girl in the corner - Classic and remains popular. I've been meaning to do a follow up post about this video because I know more about it now than when I first posted about it, info definitely doesn't travel well with this one.

Prison Ghost - Also pretty popular, the info should be easily passed on, featured on the show Ghost Hunters.

Gettysburg ghost video - This one travels a lot and always has great discussions, the info is actually very difficult to find though.

Fallen Angel - Very popular and has a possible explanation, haven't delved to much deeper though, discussions revolve around nearly anything under the sun and over it.

Alien Abduction Video - Pops up quite often, I think I need to update that post.

Area 51 Caller - I think the info about this one is pretty easy to find and I feel it's a classic that always deserves new discussion.

UFO falling in the Dessert - Spectacularly UFOish that if you don't already know where it comes from, searching specifically for NASA most likely wouldn't spring to mind.

The above videos are so widely popular that a lot has been written about them, a lot of it noise (like this post maybe).

Below are a few newer videos that I think will go in the same direction as the ones above.

Haiti UFOs - These buggers are still pretty popular and I feel they're staying put for awhile yet.

Unicorn Video - Probably always do the rounds.

Am I contributing to the noise? I certainly hope not lol. I guess it's easy to see how info gets lost when videos remain popular for so long, people write about them in so many different ways that info gets added, left out, changed, forgotten. It's good to see that there is interest though.

Lighting - SP

You know those nights when you find yourself coming home in the dark, not knowing if the next step could mean a pretty painful fall, well I don't have those because I have ample lighting to lead the way.

Hinkley Lighting has many lighting solutions from indoor to outdoor, chandeliers to Hanging Lanterns.

It's getting warmer down here, I don't need any lights as I fave enough outdoor lighting, but in the summer time, outdoors on the the deck, it's magic.

Rant to self, keep it Parainteresting

So it's been a little hard lately to keep things interesting and updated around here and I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's because of work, sometimes I feel like just planting some crops and living off of those, don't get me wrong though I like my job.

So I've been thinking "how can I make this easier on myself", it's already easy and quick but finding something from other sources worth posting about on a daily basis doesn't happen as frequently as I'd like, so I've thought of a few things that I can build up over time and back log.

First off, I've had a couple of people ask me about photoshop and I said to them that I would make some tutorial posts, that was a quite awhile ago and I haven't delivered, turns out writing instructions is a lot of work, though it is enjoyable and it's something I can build up in my spare time.

Secondly I'll be continuing my series of posts about Maori Folklore, most of which will include illustrations, there easy to write, but the drawings take time.

C - Taking more photos, getting more of my own original content on here and helping out others where I can.

There's one thing I'm excited about that I don't want to let slip, but best of all it's easy (the way I like it), easy on the eye and should be useful for anyone interested in the paranormal and will likely warrant a new blog.

This is more a rant to self, just to keep me on track and to keep things interesting around here, I think I make posts like this every 6 months or so lol.

Criss Angel and Jim Callahan on Phenomenon

I first saw this clip over at Phantoms and Monsters and I wasn't expecting what happened.

The show is called Phenomenon which as far as I can tell is the American Idol of the Paranormal. Jim Callahan was one of the contestants I guess and did his deed by identifying what was in the box, so far so good, but then it gets all pear shaped with Criss Angel's proposition of one million dollars of his own money to either Uri (the other judge) or Jim if they could tell him what was in the envelope, some arguing ensued and it almost ended in blows.

Me, I probably wouldn't have reacted like that, I would have taken up the challenge, but I guess this incident has given everyone one involved a huge amount of publicity.

Jim Callahan finds Criss Angel an ideological bigot


I hope we get the show down here, looks pretty interesting, though I saw on the Phenomenon site you could watch previous episodes, though I haven't been able to get it to work. On another the show so far reminds me of an extended, flashed up version of the James Randi clips you can find on youtube, great clips and not nearly as flashy.

Oldest Living Animal just Killed by Scientists

A clam estimated to be between 405 and 410 years old was dredged up by British marine biologists in waters north of Iceland as part of routine research. It was believed to be the oldest animal on earth.


I find it amazing how old some trees can get let alone let alone an animal of flesh.

Here's a nice list of some really old trees, the oldest of which was 4844 before it was cut down by accident. And here's an old bugger from my own backyard called Tane Mahuta, translation "Lord of the Forest."

So what else lives to grand old ages, well Bowhead Whales are said to be able to live more than 200 years, the Aldabra Giant Tortoise has been reported to live more than 250 years, and well the list goes on.

I find it amazing that these creatures are living through many human generations, they just have to have stories to tell, if you know what I mean.

Whenever I go fishing I'm always conscious of the fact that I just may catch something twice my age, always put those ones back.

Platform Beds - SP

These modern platform beds actually look really nice, I don't think I've actually seen beds like these before, maybe in the movies.

The term platform beds brings a seventies disco to my mind, imagine disco balls, loads of people doing the hustle in platform shoes, multi color lit dance floor, hmm I'm getting way of track here.

Anyway quite an interesting style for beds.
