The kid who filmed this video swears black and blue that it's legit, maybe I should start asking questions to the people who upload these videos to youtube.

In the description he says that he is tracking animals for a school project, the video starts out like that, eventually he finds some unusual man like footprints and decides to follow them which leads him to the Sasquatch, about 2 minutes into the video.

The live commentary seems a little geared towards something and the footprints have what looks like an ape thumb, pretty similar to what you'd find on a monkey costume IMO.

He swears it's real and it leads me to two ideas, if it is indeed his fake why would he support it so much, it doesn't seem like to much fun, especially judging from some of the comments he's getting. The second idea is why is good footage, meaning clear, long shots always almost instantly deemed fake when a 2 second smudge from a quarter mile away worthy of discussion.

I know context, history, details are important but what if great footage goes unnoticed because of first impressions.

Highway Patrol Capture UFO on video in Veracruz

This is some pretty amazing UFO footage, shot in Veracruz from a patrol car by a patrolman.

The video shows in the beginning the traffic stop then the camera in the patrol car pans to the left to capture the diamond shaped UFO hovering just beyond a ledge.

I like it when UFO footage comes from an official source like this, makes me feel comfortable that it's legit, though cops are people to.

Child Ghost Appears in Mobile Phone Photo

This is a pretty creepy ghost photo, reported by the Daily mail and photographed by 17-year-old Matthew Summers of his friends in Billingham.

The photo shows what appears to be the face of a child, the photo has been dismissed as nothing more than pareidolia by Most Haunteds Ciaran O'Keeffe.

Seems like to much of a simple explanation to me, the face is very distinct and seems to cross in front of one leg and behind the other, it also blocks out the continuation of the heater in back. Could it be photoshop?

These Kohler sinks look pretty cool, I always like things that are nicely designed and easy to use.

Though I do like the fact that all the taps in my house have their own distinct characters, like the one that you have to turn off tight and the one that's so easy to turn on that it seems to turn itself on.

This is pretty cool, a huge hologram of the Loch Ness monster, well kind of. I think it's for the promotion of the Japanese release of The Water Horse. Way cool.

The poll in the right sidebar "What topics do you like to see most on MPL?" is almost over and it seems the majority want to see "tales of ghosts" more on this blog, the very close runner up was "all of the above". So I'll try and do my best to feature more ghostly goings on along with everything else.

So to start with below is a brief video showing some Ghost photos taken in Japan. I don't know what it is but a lot of interesting ghost photos seem to come from there, some of them more convincing than others though.

Texas UFO Sightings

Haven't been keeping up with the news the last couple weeks but this whole Texas UFO Sightings thing seems like big news, so I thought I'd better catch up. You'd think that with so many eyewitnesses there would be more videos and photos of the UFO floating about, but there's very little if anything, could have something to do with the $5,000 Reward being offered for footage or photos, only time will tell.

NOTE: I'll be updating this post when new info comes to light. And also let me know if the videos below work, if not I'll find alts.

So first we have initial reports.

Then we have Mufon on the case.

Larry King's even getting in on the action.

Now we have the military claiming the sightings are of nothing more than an F-16 Squadron.

Bigfoot Wars on Mars while Freeman Portals in Controversy

After a week and a half of neglecting my feed reader and with my bookmark blitz over I think it's time to take a look at what's been going on.

Arse!!! this is going to take ages... no probs, I'm cool wit it.

So apparently it's easier to photograph Bigfoot strolling around on mars. It does look like some sort of relic, but it's so just a natural rock formation, isn't it? Update: the things probably really tiny, like 10 inches tiny.

This headline stood out, Ancient Bigfoot Wars, great idea and I'd like to think they did so along side Jedi. Seriously though could it be possible?

The World’s Most Infamous Staged Photos, informative article about photo manipulation, not the photoshop kind but the misleading kind, includes some very famous images.

Now I'm freaked out by mice as much as the next person but the idea of a bull sized rodent would actually make that fear logical.

Religious Jewelry - SP

I remember years ago I had a thing for all kinds metal jewelry, skulls, metal bands, even religious jewelry. I never wore any of it, I'd just get them and store them in a metal case which I still have to this day.

I don't think I've opened it in more than ten years, would be pretty interesting to see what's in it, now only to find it.

The Norway Sea Creature that fooled the world

Anyone remember this video, supposedly of a sea monster caught on video in Norway in 2005. It wasn't that good, could have been anything and to me it looked like a bird.

I wonder if when building their creature they realized it looked just like a swan, if you're going to hoax something then gloat about it later, make it amazing.

Lake Monster Tooth Confiscated

I'm still on my bookmark blitz so this one's a little old.

The video is titled "Loch Ness Monster Tooth", it's about 2 and a half minutes long, the vid shows a few men on a lake in a boat, they decide the investigate a deer carcass on the shores of the lake, they make jokes about it then spot what looks like a very long tooth.

The guy filming needs to change tapes and at that point they say the water bailiff confiscated the tooth and tape.

I haven't really come across much discussion about the video, probably because it seems like a hoax.

A few things are obvious, no way is that Loch Ness and how are they showing the video if the bailiff confiscated it.

Still pretty cool, oh and there's a $5,000 reward for info leading to the return of the tooth, I don't see that panning out.

Alien Action Figure Commercial 1970

I would've loved one of these as a kid, still wouldn't mind one now. The commercial is for the 18" Alien action figure produced by Kenner and was based on the alien in the movie. The toy was a huge failure, kids couldn't see the movie because of the R rating and the toy scared them. Here's a nice article about the history of the toy, pretty interesting.

As I said I would've loved one, the thing is huge, it's scary and cool looking, what more could you want. I just saw one in mint condition selling for nearly a thousand dollars on ebay.

I was always under the impression that this video had been proven fake, but it seems the debate is still alive and well, well judging from the information about it around the place.

The video shot in 1996 by John Wheyleigh shows a few orb objects floating over a field which appear to make a crop circle.

It actually does look pretty authentic, the video is of low quality, but for me it doesn't have the computer generated feel to it and coming from 1996, if it is CG then it's very well done.

Long running ghost saga

Real ghost caught on film
It started off simply enough with a ghostly figure being captured on the fly, very brief, it seemed like a one off situation, usually never hearing about it again.

But another video from the user surfaced, he'd been having problems with the pantry door being opened in the morning and decided to film it through the night, with results, the door opened and it is said that you can make out the same figure from the first video.

Not satisfied he decided to film it again moths later, with results that will shock.


Ghost makes contact
With many people who see the footage screaming fake, he decides to invite an independent source to witness the phenomena. What is witnessed is beyond belief.


Or it's a long running hoax, the dudes story changes a little from video to video and the footage seems tampered with, though it's absolutely freaking cool.

The Shock Doctrine

Great little film by Alfonso Cuarón and Naomi Klein with big world information. It deals with the idea that in times of great disaster, tragedy, free market governments can pretty much slip under the carpet unnoticed, making deals and what not.

When your house is destroyed I'd imagine you wouldn't be to worried about what's going down on government hill.

There's also book that works as a companion piece to this film, The Shock Doctrine.

Beautiful Spiraling UFO from Cali

This video of a beautiful glowing spiral in the night sky over Irwin CA reminds me a lot of the spiraling UFO over Russia video.

The smoke is probably lit up by the city beneath, the dude can't work the zoom and we can't get a good look at what's causing it, so as with the Russia video which most people concluded as being a rocket, I'd have to say similar with this one from Cali.

Though I haven't done my research with this one mind.

Vrillon of the Ashtar Galactic Command

In 1977 Vrillon of the Ashtar Galactic Command contacted earth through a broadcast by hijacking a television broadcast in the United Kingdom which lasted 6 or so minutes. Vrillon more or less warned that if we did not change our ways, open our eyes we would surely be doomed.

No one was ever held respocible for the incident and I think it's still unresolved.

The cool thing for me is it sounds exactly like something you would find on youtube, done from someones bedroom with no real intent, but the Vrillon incident is from 1977. It just goes to show that in 30 years we still do the same old crap.

Would be cool if it were real and I'm not saying it isn't, but from what we have here it would take a certain amount of faith to believe it (AGC).

There does seem to be a dark figure in this video, nice chase, but as far as evidence to the existence of Bigfoot, makes for a great story.

Report a UFO sighting in New Zealand

I was going to post about this when it was all over the news a few months back. If your in New Zealand and want to report a UFO sighting the NZ based site Ufocus NZ is the place to go, they have a sightings report form that you can fill out and send them, they'll investigate and add it to the site if you want.

Other than that there's some cool articles and stories on the site.

Rich Giordano debunking his own videos

I wanted to post about Rich Giordano coming clean that he let one slide awhile ago, but I forgot the specifics and couldn't find it anywhere in my bookmarks, turns out I put it in my tools folder and that has nothing to do with the paranormal.

Rich Giordano is the webmaster of CNUFOS.com, a site I should be more familiar with as it has a load of UFO videos and is updated quite regularly. Rich is also the host of the AZ UFO Show, never listened to it, but I'm listening to the latest one now, seems pretty fun.

Anyway onto the videos, the first one is of Rich explaining the whole thing about his UFO fleet video and where he stands after the whole thing. The fleet video got popular and he didn't reveal at the time that it was explainable, I can understand that, it's nice to be popular. My thoughts are that after people think something is real it would be pretty hard revealing that it's not and you knew all along, trying to make a point can piss people off.

This video is Rich debunking a few of his own videos, I remember these when they were fresh and wanted to post about them back then, but they ended up in my tools folder as well. The fleet video once you get the full video is pretty obvious, the second video of a craft under a lamp post isn't so much and the explanation is far from what I expected, the third video he debunks looks cool, but it's just a light in the sky.

Seems like a cool guy, but as far as me knowing UFO researchers I know pretty much absolutely no one and they don't know me, leaves me out of the politics I think.

What kind of aircraft is this?

I'm splitting my blitz time between here and my other blog Strange Clips, gave it a little redesign to. So far there's more strange clips than there are paranormal clips.

The short video below shows a really strange flying craft, a kind of plane, but I've never seen anything like it. You could say it looks a little like a stealth bomber but not at all at the same time.

On the other hand there's no reference in the clip to make any comparisons for size and what not, just the craft, the sky and some sound.

Becoming a champion- SP

As with most of the usual new years resolutions getting fit was one of them, you know the easy ones to come up with. When I think of getting fit I think of fitness equipment, though a walk to the beach would do the same, but say I wanted to be a champion arm wrestler, well I'd need some exercise equipment to get in shape.

It's a little strange going through bookmarks I made over a year ago, for one some of these videos have gotten huge amounts of views and two some of this stuff seems better than what I've been seeing lately.

In this video a guy goes to investigate what he thinks is a bear going though his trash, what he finds is a little red demon.

I remember when I first saw this video I thought to myself "why would you want to get that close to a wild bear" and "poor little demon got interrupted making doodoo."

Missing Lake Champlain Monster ABC Footage

I've had this bookmarked for ages returning to it every now and then to see if it'll play. The article is from ABC news about exclusive footage they obtained which allegedly could be of the Lake Champlain Monster.

Here's the link to the video that will not play, the player loads up fine, even shows an ad, then nothing. I've tried looking around for the footage, but from what I remember I was pretty fresh to the news and the video didn't even work back then.

Any help in finding an alternative source for the video would be greatly appreciated.

Jim Morrison - Celebrity Ghosts

This is about one of my favorite ghosts photos which was taken near Jim Morrison's resting place and apparently shows what looks like Jim, the segment is a brief interview with the Brett Meisner, the guy who appears in the photo along with the ghostly figure.

I don't know what conclusions have been made about this photo, actually I don't want to know, I love The Doors and I love this mystery.

Looks like for my first blitz I'm going way back to 2006, looks like I'll going that far back for a little more, gotta clean my bookmarks out.

Looks like this video is from sort of paranormal investigation team or some hoaxers.

Their in front on some old building at night filming into windows, they keep saying they all see something but I can't make anything out, though at about the 1:11 mark there is a very noticible flash from the very top window, looks tricky to me though.

About to Blitz

I hope... I just updated my Tourism Area 52 post with a two part video which shows the two entrances to Area 51, pretty informative.

With that I think I'm about to go on a blogging marathon, I have loads of bookmarks in my "to post later" folder that I feel the need to empty it, I'll see how it goes, some videos and stuff may need more looking into.

I'll follow up the blitz with an index post for it all.

On a side note I just heard the sound of ripping paper coming from my kitchen, it's 2 in the morning and I'm the only one up and it's freaking me out a little.

What if Dragons were real?

Well this is pretty cool, a hypothetical look at what if dragons were real done by the folks that bought us Walking with Dinosaurs, well it may have been cooler a few years ago when it was made, but hey that's what I get for only having basic free to air TV.

Dragon's World: A Fantasy Made Real was pretty cool, I really like the "what if" scenarios, how they flew, how they evolved etc. The design and computer animation of the dragons was OK, though not really my cup of tea in terms of dragon design, I like em beefier with bigger wings. At times the animations seemed to be tacked on from dinosaur animations and their explanation for how they briefed fire and were able to fly with such little wings was pretty lame, though it's an easier explanation and you really can't go wrong, coz with dragons anythings possible.

As I said earlier I like my dragons rottweiler like with wings and I like the idea bought up in the movie "Reign of Fire" that fire is produced by two chemicals mixing and igniting.

All in all it was good watch but the best part is it's led me to something else I'm gonna want to watch called Walking with Monsters - Life Before Dinosaurs. Dang I feel like I'm in 2005 or something, may need to get satellite TV just to catch up.

Sir Ed, just plain world famous

We have a lot of Kiwis that are "world famous" in New Zealand, but Sir Edmund Hillary was truely world famous.

Sir Edmund Hillary died yesterday at the age of 88 as most of you probably know, his was a life that most could only dream of, one of the last great adventurers in my mind.
Being a kiwi myself Sir Ed is part of New Zealand's collective psyche, I've always known who he was and what he did and I'm dang proud of it, I'm sure many Kiwis and people from across the globe feel the same way.

You'll be missed.

I thought that since my Flickr group is ticking along nicely without any input on my part that I'd post images submitted to it from time to time. Some great images in there, they're all pretty Scary Creepy Weird.

This image caught my attention by bringing back some of those childhood fears that I had, one was looking into mirrors in the dark, I still hate that one, and two was the fear of things peering around dark corners.

Paper Airplane takes a long Flight

I've never been able to get my paper airplanes to fly quite like this one, but I want to give it a try.

It's amazing to think that something so simple as a paper airplane probably would have been seen as magic only a few hundred years ago. What will another few hundred years bring us.

São Paulo Spiky UFO Video

Another video people have been talking about is the spiky UFO from São Paulo, Brazil. Pretty cool video, one of the most unique I've seen in a long time, the video is pretty long and despite the constant zooming in and out the filmer does keep it pretty steady towards the end which is where you get to see the most detail.

Seen a lot discussions leaning towards custom made balloons, but I'm guessing that because the video quality is pretty bad the video will be discussed and recirculated for some time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone make a stabilized version in the not to distant future.

UFOs over Iraq

Well it seems like I've been away for ages, not just the trip away but I don't think I've made a decent post around here in a few weeks.

Since I was away on my trip there seems to be a few things people have been talking about so I'll start off with the UFOs over Iraq.

Not much of a description with these pillars of light, shot from I guess a night vision camera by soldiers in Iraq, the resulting video is very pretty. I have no idea what they could be, glares, reflections from the lights below, UFOs? I don't know, but I do see why my feed reader was filled with stories about it.

A place that smells like rotten eggs

So I've been away on holiday and I totally forgot to let anyone know, sorry about that. I went on a road trip to Rotorua with a stop off in Lake Taupo, both located in the North Island of New Zealand.

The weather was stinking hot and Rotorua was just stinking, I had passed through Rota Vegas before but I never noticed the smell, good reason for it smelling though "geothermal activity", it was pretty surprising to see steam rising from the ground in the middle of the main street, pools of hot bubbling mud on the front lawns of the houses we passed and the ever wafting smell of rotting eggs.

It felt as if we were in the middle of some ancient land, the threat of dinosaurs and erupting volcanoes was always on the imagination, though the city is pretty large and very touristy.

I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Mt Ruapehu on the why up, first time I've actually seen it, it's usually covered in clouds when I pass by.

What looks suspiciously like a nuclear silo, New Zealand is nuke free so I wonder what it is, it was big that's for sure.

Rotorua Bath House which is now the Rotorua Museum is a beautiful place.

It was a great trip, totally refreshed me, though coming home the same old problems are around, I think it's time for a proper change.

Car Donations for kids - SP

I really wish I could tell you all about this car donation thing but I haven't been able to access the web page.

As far as I can tell Car Angel is an organisation that uses donations of cars and other things to make videos for children, they provided a link to their youtube profile here, there's a few videos, they seem pretty professional.

They're non profit and say they have given away 2.4 million videos, which is quite an impressive number. Any money raised goes towards making these videos.
