Ever been a guest in a house where there are no coffee tables? I have been once or twice.
Well, you're sitting in the living room having a nice conversation waiting for a cup of coffee, your host arrives with a cup of up all night, it's pipping hot and it dawns on you there's no place to put it down.
What are the alternative resting places? well you could put it on the ground, though if you don't know them to well it could seem a little rude, what I usually do is a balancing act, I place the hot cup on my knee with my hand on the rim of the cup, though until it cools down enough there's a lot of knee swapping.
Now really who serves coffee without a coffee table.
On another note, I have no idea where the above came from, hopefully I'll have the new site all set by the end of next week.

Wrinkled Skin - SP
I wonder if I'll ever feel the need for the best wrinkle cream, yea it doesn't make sense, but this is where I want to go with it.
You see the thing is I'm 28 years old, but I have the skin of an 18 year old. No one ever thinks I'm over 20 years of age, my younger brother always gets mistaken for my older brother.
I don't know one day I may begin to sag, but really I'm looking forward to that day.

A Cleanse for some - SP
Well, never had this one before. Ever felt the need for a colon cleanse? I don't know, anyway, I guess it couldn't hurt, may even make one feel a little lighter. Just imagine what could have built up over the years, sometimes I wonder, but not to much mind you.
Anyway, keeping healthy and clean must all be good for one.

Medical Alert - SP
I really don't know what to say about a medical bracelet, a part from when I was maybe 7 I wanted one, they looked pretty cool to me back then but I didn't know what they were meant for.
Wish I had more to say about it, but other than that I have experience with them what so ever.
Anyway on another note, the websites coming along, but I've been pretty busy lately and haven't spent to much time in front of the computer, hopefully that'll change.

New Site - Still haven't overcome the Learning Curve
So it's been awhile, lots to catch up on but that probably wont happen until I get comfortable with the new site I'm making.
I've finally settled on Wordpress as the new platform. I found it hard to get my head around Drupal and Joomla, Joomla is very commercial, templates seemed very cookie cutter and I found good guides were hard to find. Drupal, well their lack of backwards compatibility scared me a little. So I decided on Wordpress.
It may not have some of the features the other two may have, but so far Wordpress seems to be able to do a hell of a lot. Loads of support, loads of plugins and a whole bunch of templates to download.
Though I still haven't overcome the learning curve even after a week of exploring it, just to many options to explore. Give me another week and hopefully I'll have a preview to show y'all.

Weight loss stuff - SP
Definitely some use of diet pills around here lately, I don't think I've checked anything out in like a week, don't even know what the latest news is.
Certainly in limbo at the moment, building up the new site and all that has totally taken my mind off of things here, though I feel it's what I need to get the itch back.
Speaking of itches, keeping the weight in check can be hard at times, I wonder if pills can help.

Health insurance - SP
I don't think many people down here in NZ have health insurance, most of our hospitals are public, with a fraction being private. I don't know what it's like in other parts of the world but I'm guessing privatisation plays big part. NC health insurance could be good, I don't know, but from the stuff I read, see on T.V, I'm guessing you need some insurance if you want to be seen to promptly.
Don't worry, there will be none of these on my new platform.

CMS are like blogger.com on steroids
I've been a little ill lately, so I've taken the time to get to grips with the CMS (content management systems) that my hosting provides.
I thought it would come easy, seeing I know the ins and outs of blogger.com, though to put it this way, blogger.com is the bare bones and the content management systems I've been exploring are the fleshy bits wearing a hat and carrying a bag full of rocks.
I thought I'd be able to have a website up and running in a couple weeks, but it looks like I'm going to have to take my time with it.
So far I've tried out 3 content management systems, Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla. They all come packaged with my hosting account at Hostgator, I just had to install them.
Wordpress was to similar to Blogger for me so I thought I'd try out the scarier looking options.
Drupal was great, heaps of plugins (they call em modules) to add more functions to your site, though customizing the look of a template looked pretty tricky.
Drupal's very community driven and it seems very dependent on everyone who contribute keeping everything up to date with each new version of Drupal that comes along.
The one thing I really hated about Drupal was I spent a lot time tinkering around in the file manager on my hostgator account, at this point that's a very scary place to me.
Joomla is much the same as drupal, community driven, though there's a huge commercial side to it, half the templates out there cost money.
What I like most about Joomla over Drupal is it seems I can do everything I want from the Joomla dashboard thingy, upload pictures, edit the CCS and what not without having to go into my hostgator file manager thing, very comfortable and reminds me a little of blogger.com.
Well that's as far as I've come with creating my website and as I've realized it's going to take awhile to achieve what I want, it'll be back to blogging here a lot more.
Don't worry loads more paranormalness on the way.

Warmth in Winter - SP
It's so cold down here, been raining non-stop for the last week and I've now got the flu. I'm at the computer with all my bedding wrapped tightly around, trying to keep the chills at bay.
I've got one of those colds where there's a non-stop tickle in the nose, I feel like sneezing, but I can't dang it.
Well hopefully I can get some posts out tonight, got so many feeds to check.

Just an update on Hosting and Domain Names
So my domain name went live, it's not My Paranormal Life, I went with something different and I may buy another name, not sure yet.
So here's the deal, with Hostgator they give you a bunch of CMS (content management systems) pretty much just more advanced versions of blogger, I've chosen to play around with Wordpress first, it seems similar to blogger.
The problem I've just realized is that Hostgator have so many options like this that I'm going to be learning a lot of it for quite awhile, so the new site wont be live for a long long time.
Though what I've been noticing is that you can have loads of these CMS packages added right to the same domain, for example the Wordpress blog would be like this www.dominname.com and if I add a forum package I'll make a new directory like this www.dominname.com/forum. Having a proper website should keep everything consistent.
It's certainly doing my head in, but so did blogger when I first started using it, I just hope I complete my learning curve pretty soon.
