Been doing some spring cleaning and working a lot lately so haven't had to much time for blogging, things should pick up eventually though.
I updated the header image, not to different but I think it stands out more, I also added a rating widget to the bottom of each post, I don't really know why, I think I may be suffering from widget withdrawal or something, not to many widgets around here these days. I've also been shuffling things around, hopefully for better navigation of this blog.
My PR also took a nose dive, most probably because of the sponsored posts and text link ads, also maybe because I have to many links without the Nofollow tags? no worries though nothing seems to have changed apart from PR.
Anyway have a good one peoples, should be swinging tomorrow.
I like the look of your blog, very clean, whats PR and how does it get better
ReplyDeleteDitto on all counts
ReplyDeleteCheers for the comments, google PR(page rank) is a rating out of ten, ten being the best, it was supposed to show how much authority your blog/site had, based on the number of quality related backlinks to your site/blog.
ReplyDeleteA lot of online money making services based their models around googles PR, the better PR your site had the more money you could potentially earn from it.
Anyway there was an update recently and it seemed google wanted to punish people for selling link space on there sites. But I guess also google wanted to say PR isn't worth didly squat anymore, so don't focus on it.
I like the way it looks now bud. Looks very clean and nice.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, too, my PR took a bit of a nose dive recently, too. Google paranormal conspiracy? ;-)
Cheers Dustin, could be a conspiracy, lol, probably because the big G never tells anyone what's going on. Personally I fell they just don't want anyone to hold to much weight on PR anymore, they hit some huge bloggers out there.
ReplyDeleteBecause the net grows more and faster these days (lol because of bloggers) it's hard to keep search results useful and relevant mainly because how PR can be manipulated, ex. buy a few hundred links from high PR sites and you should hit the top of search results for your competitive keywords, it doesn't matter if that link sends you zero traffic as long as it's on a high PR page, google will send you that traffic instead.
I like the move, still nothing has changed around here, traffics up in fact, but it most probably has changed for the services who use PR as their business model and that's the other side of it, does google have to much control over how others do business, though it is their service after all.
Dang that could have been a post on my other blog.
