My parents have been together well over 25 years, but they have never really kept track of their special date, let alone expect any anniversary gifts. Looking over these wedding anniversary gifts by year I feel they are owed everything from their paper to their silver anniversary, because they've done it hard, but always together.
Seeing that it's a convenient time for gift giving, I may just go ahead and do something special for the holidays and their wedding anniversary, even though it's no where near the date, you know kill two birds and come out smelling like roses.
