Manassas Civil War Ghost Video

This video was taken by a man and his family while on a trip to the Manassas battlefield, the video shows a field, a big white house and a woman walking across the field that looks like she is in period dress.

The description with the video says that they didn't notice any body else around at the time of the filming, but only noticed her after viewing the video weeks later.

I know from my home movies that when viewing them I see people that I didn't notice at the time, but I don't know with this video. It has a nice look at the surrounding area and it seems fairly quiet, it would be simple to create and these areas probably have a lot of reenactments going on.

But there's just something about the figure that just makes me think ghost.

I suppose it could be a ghost. Pesonally though, I think not. It looks like it was a bright day. The house looked like it was reflecting a little sunlight. So did the woman.

    Then again, you never know.

  3. I think if it was a ghost it wouldn't have been there both times the guy scanned passed her.

Not convinced. Looked suspicious how the camera panned right for the first time immediately after filming the woman. Just my opinion.

It looks to me like an employee of the state park. They usually dress in costume and tell you the history of the building and the site.

i was looking on the internet because i am doing a project about civil war ghost legends and i came across this..."

At Spangler's Spring, farmland once claimed to have been used as the site where both Union and Confederate sprang during the battle, lives the legend of the "Woman in White." Her story is tragic but vivid...she was apparently engaged to be married, when her fiance decided to terminate the engagement, and, distraught, the young woman took her own life. Not a small few have attested to seeing the woman wandering around Spangler's Spring."

If you actually look at the video, the person pauses just for an instant when scanning past the woman...to me this would indicate they actually saw the person...IMO.

Looks like the photographer did pause for just a sec.... I was a medic in Manassas, and have been to the spot, and it is pretty. Yes, it could be a NPS actor, but in that case he would have seen 'her'. In 1998, 3 people in the park were busted by the NPS for creating a BS picture, with no action taken. I think it's a hoax, and the people are full of goat dung.

I think a total Hoax, moving the camera so fast you really cant see much other than what is intended (the ghost). You have to assume he is telling the truth that he saw nothing while filming but when it comes to things such as this I am more skeptical of people. Most all the battlefields of Gettysburg have employees dressed in period costume. Still skeptical

That may just be an ordinary woman. I've been there tons of times, and a saw weird people there all the time, often dressed like that. But i have heard strange noises there before so perhaps this is the being to match them. It's creepy how she just disappears like that.
