It's been a slow few days, youtubes been playing up and I can't watch the newest of the new videos, it does that from time to time. So I think it's time to fall back on my bookmarked stuff.
This video shows an African Shaman getting ready for some levitation for the night ahead, the actually levitation is filmed from two different cameras in two positions.
It did look impressive at first, but then I realized it looked as if he was balancing on something that was in between his legs, the second camera man is filming from slightly behind and to the side of the Shaman, what bothers me though is that the camera man never gets a clear shot of the mans bum bum, it seems intentional to. But when the Shaman drops from levitation you really can't see anything from behind that could have been aiding him anyway, maybe a clever edit or something.
I don't know what this video is from, seems like a doco or something, wouldn't mind seeing the full video.
African shaman performing levitation
I agree, the second cameraman doesn't get the right shots to make it more authentic looking. Considering Criss Angel does similar things there's reason to believe he using a similar technique.
ReplyDeleteI've done that levitation trick many times, and it works, right angle and good posture and it looks real as.
ReplyDeleteHello, I'am George. Visit my website, if you want to see Tricks with Levitation. All tricks are video explained, so you can learn very easy. Thank's and have a great day.
ReplyDeleteFor levitation on Earth, first, a force is required directed vertically upwards and equal to the gravitational force, second, for any small displacement of the levitating object, a returning force should appear to stabilize it. , I do not know if this video is true but I think that it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHmm... sorry I'm late to the party...
ReplyDeleteThe documentary is Journey Into The Beyond, from 1978 or 79, narrated by John Carradine (I think he's the brother of David).
Maybe you know that by now.
:P
And yes, it's horribly suspicious as a video. On top of his strange dangling motion, as if something was holding him at the waist, the camera never gives us a good shot of the back. He could have a pole sticking out of there.
And there is a trick like that. You can google it.
Anyway, back then, shock documentaries about the paranormal were the rage, including Filipino doctors who supposedly operated with their bare hands, leaving no scar, etc
Well, you probably have all the info by now...
But you know, just in case someone from the net comes across your post...
