I Am Legend, Alternative Ending

If you haven't seen "I am legend" then don't watch this, the clip below is an alternative ending to what is seen in the final cut of I am Legend.

I've got to say that I would have rather had this one than what they had in the final cut, this one is so much better, had myself a good cry.

Horror Movie Reviews from The Cut Up

The Cut Up is a pretty cool blog, it has some pretty funny and interesting video reviews of horror movies, pointing out things such as continuity problems, bad dialog, acting etc.

I came across it awhile ago when it had maybe 3 video reviews up, hadn't returned in awhile until today and was pleasantly surprised to see some 25 horror movie reviews up.

The reviews range from classics such as Halloween to B-movies like Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

I really enjoyed the blog first time round and I know I'm going to enjoy all the new stuff on offer.

Below is the latest from The Cut Up.

Incredible Wood Imp Video

If this is amateur CG work don't you think we're all in trouble? Maybe it's from a movie? Seems like the uploader is claiming it as their own.

In the video it looks like one Wood Imp is taking the camera guy on a tour, the other Imp doesn't seem to like it.

The Bigfoot Game

Classic Bigfoot board game commercial by Mego

This is an old commercial for a board game called Bigfoot, "even though you found his hiding place... he may not be there."

Paper Airplane takes a long Flight

I've never been able to get my paper airplanes to fly quite like this one, but I want to give it a try.

It's amazing to think that something so simple as a paper airplane probably would have been seen as magic only a few hundred years ago. What will another few hundred years bring us.

Allison Dubois is based on a real person

With the same name at that, I had no idea. Below is an interview with the real Allison Dubois.

Resident Evil Haunted House

If your a fan of the Resident Evil games you'd be wishing you could go to Fuji-Q highland in Japan where at the moment they've converted their haunted house attraction into a Resident Evil experience.

Man I'd love to check that thing out, puts the last couple of haunted houses I mentioned to shame.

I've always thought movies and videos games would make for great murder mystery weekends you know, set up a house dedicated to the theme, let loose some paying customers, have them solve puzzles, find keys, fight off monsters, make it really hard core. Would be great.

Here's a video showing off some of the freakiness of the Resident Evil Experience.

Perhaps the Scariest Haunted House in the World

Ghostbusters Game Footage

I had no idea a Ghostbusters game was in development, what a pleasant surprise. The game actually looks pretty good, the environments and style looks right out of the movie.

I guess this is the next best thing compared to waiting around for a third Ghostbusters movie.

Haunted Mansion Attractions

I wish I had of known about The Haunted Mortuary sooner, it would have made a great Halloween post.

The Haunted Mortuary looks like loads of fun, I don't know much about it apart from it's located in New Orleans in an old real life mortuary, actors all dressed to the teeth in all kinds of scary costumes, bloody props, just your all round haunted house.

The place is actually supposed to really be haunted and they have proper ghost tours on offer as well. The video below looks like a behind the scenes promo vid, crossed with some Blair witch.

The Haunted Mortuary, New Orleans

I remember as a kid the ghost train rides and haunted houses at the local fairs, boy were they crappy, never lived up to what I was expecting and left me wanting my hard earned pocket money back.

Lucky though that New Zealand has something very similar to the haunted attraction above called Spookers, pretty much the same, actors in make-up, props, scaring the living daylights out of their customers. Though it looks like apart from the haunted mansion they also have a haunted forest and haunted maze, seasonal though. It's in Auckland, quite aways from me, but a quick phone call to my cuz and I got me a place to stay woot.

Happy Halloween Y'all

So Halloween has been and gone down here in New Zealand, we had no Trick or Treaters to our house this year, same as last year and the year before, though I did see two groups of Trick or Treaters on my way to work, very colorful and actually had costumes.

So it wasn't much of an event down here, though I just saw on the news Halloween is big in Japan and some of the costumes are awesome looking, well they love cosplay after all. A quick search resulted in an about page listing some of the Halloween events in Japan.

The video below is of Halloween in Japan from 2006, looks like a lot of fun.

EDIT: I must admit I didn't watch the video all the way through before posting, if you know what I mean.

Anyway Happy Halloween y'all.

Ghost Whisperer Scariest Story Ever Told

Just stumbled across this, a little viewer interaction promo for Ghost Whisperer using youtube, CBS started the story off and people respond to that video with the next line in the story, so far though I don't think they've even gotten out of the kitchen.

Ghost Whisperer Scariest Story Ever Told
Here's the CBS started video, great idea, could have awesome possibilities, though I enjoy Medium more than Ghost Whisperer, it's still a cool show, should really keep that quiet just in case CBS want to send me some promo gear, anyone else had Ghost Hunters wanting to send them DVDs and stuff? do they deliverer? still hesitant about giving my address out over emails.

My Scary Video
This is my favorite response so far.

jack's response
I don't know why but I couldn't stop laughing at this one.

STRANGE CRAFT music video

Just a quick post, have a pretty busy work week ahead. The video below is inspired by the whole strange craft ordeal, it's a music video with CG animations of the crafts which look pretty good, it was uploaded to youtube by the person who made the video in the link above, if you click through to youtube on the video below the description has a few links you may want to check out.

Levitation from an African Shaman Caught on Video

It's been a slow few days, youtubes been playing up and I can't watch the newest of the new videos, it does that from time to time. So I think it's time to fall back on my bookmarked stuff.

This video shows an African Shaman getting ready for some levitation for the night ahead, the actually levitation is filmed from two different cameras in two positions.

It did look impressive at first, but then I realized it looked as if he was balancing on something that was in between his legs, the second camera man is filming from slightly behind and to the side of the Shaman, what bothers me though is that the camera man never gets a clear shot of the mans bum bum, it seems intentional to. But when the Shaman drops from levitation you really can't see anything from behind that could have been aiding him anyway, maybe a clever edit or something.

I don't know what this video is from, seems like a doco or something, wouldn't mind seeing the full video.

A Strange Kind of Monster

Fake of the Day
I won't go into this one, but lets just say I was a little confused when I first saw it. Supposedly it was on a News show, but I can't make out the branding.

TV news : monster part 2

Here's the first video of the monster.

It kind of reminds me of those crazy suites, you know the ones where it looks like someones riding a kangaroo or something. To me the video looks like someone in a suit on all fours walking backwards.

Something a little different

For the past few days I have done nothing but follow the E3 Game Show that is going on at the moment and I think is soon to be finished.

Strange thing is I don't actually own any of the new gaming systems, my brother has them so I feel that I partly have unlimited access to them, hehe.

Been a little weird also because I haven't felt like this before about any sort of internet event, I've been following the major video game sites with a passion, waiting for updates for new game trailers, I even watched the three press conferences that were streamed live over the net.

I'm a huge tech nerd but not much of a console gamer (I always get anxious to do something else while playing games, even though I'm enjoying what I'm playing), but I am feeling the urge to buy a PS3 for myself.

Here's trailers for some of the games that I really want to play:

Echochrome
This game is not what you'd expect to come from game systems these days, very refreshing. It's a puzzle game that uses optical illusions as inspiration.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
I was pretty surprised by the realism of this title.

Little Big Planet
Looks like fun, create stuff and share it with your friends online.

Killzone 2 E3 2007
This is the one I would probably buy the Playstation 3 for, it's a FPS, very violent, it may have an age restriction, so younger audiences probably shouldn't watch this.

I don't know what it is, I'm semi obsessed with all this, maybe because of all this 3D modelling I am doing at the moment, probably.
