Rome Cave, Bizarre Cow and Bigfoot attacks

Boo Post, been awhile.

Up late last night and I gave myself the creeps, first off the chairs in my dinning room which are usually nicely tucked under the table were all widely spread out, a little unusual, maybe people came over before I got home last night. Secondly I was in my bedroom with the door closed when all of a sudden it opened with a bang.

Nothing paranormal here just me spooking myself, I'm probably watching to many poltergeist videos.

Anyway here's whats been Paranormal today. I sift through so much news each day that I really should make use of it.

Lost cave found in Rome - "Italian archaeologists believe they have found the cave where, according to legend, a wolf suckled Romulus and Remus, the twin founders of Rome." I love these kinds of discoveries.

Have you Been Attacked by Bigfoot? - A pretty in depth guide explaining what to look for if you think you may have been attacked by Bigfoot, funny and informative at the same time.

Humanoid looking baby cow - It looks really bizarre.

Not that paranormal, but stories I didn't want to make individual posts about that I found interesting.

Oldest Living Animal just Killed by Scientists

A clam estimated to be between 405 and 410 years old was dredged up by British marine biologists in waters north of Iceland as part of routine research. It was believed to be the oldest animal on earth.

I find it amazing how old some trees can get let alone let alone an animal of flesh.

Here's a nice list of some really old trees, the oldest of which was 4844 before it was cut down by accident. And here's an old bugger from my own backyard called Tane Mahuta, translation "Lord of the Forest."

So what else lives to grand old ages, well Bowhead Whales are said to be able to live more than 200 years, the Aldabra Giant Tortoise has been reported to live more than 250 years, and well the list goes on.

I find it amazing that these creatures are living through many human generations, they just have to have stories to tell, if you know what I mean.

Whenever I go fishing I'm always conscious of the fact that I just may catch something twice my age, always put those ones back.

Dr. Fong's Giant Stone Head Photo

Was just over at Doctor Fong's House of Mysterious and saw the latest post was a call for help in identifying an intriguing old photo of a giant stone head.

I have no idea, never seen it before but would really like some info about it, as Dr. Fong says "I have always loved giant stone heads." and I've got to say I do to.

Some say the End of Days

I say if they believe it it will happen for them, what I am talking about is the Mayan calendar which some believe predicts a significant event in the year 2012, maybe the end of the world who knows?

I remember watching something on T.V about it maybe 20 years ago I would have been 7 then and I remember asking my dad if it were true, he just said to me it's theirs so don't worry about it. What he said to me is something that I live by today, I don't pretend to be an expert on much and I sure hope I don't go around telling people what's what, I'm just an explorer of information.

Anyway speaking of info I just came across a count down clock for the end of the Mayan calendar, which is pretty cool, though really it's not that exciting, there's just over 5 years on it, I wonder if it will be around when it gets to the zeros.

ZEITGEIST the Movie, Religion, Conspiracy, Money and Power

I just finished a watching a movie called ZEITGEIST on Google video, I just couldn't stop watching, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean.

The movie has three parts, The Greatest Story Ever Told, All The World's A Stage and Don't mind the men behind the curtain.

The Greatest Story Ever Told is about the foundations of Christianity and many other religions, which in Zeitgeist explains that they are more or less based on the Zodiac and that it has been a motif used long before Christ. One version of this is the story of the Egyptian god Horus, from the movie the story seems the same as Christs.

All The World's A Stage deals with 9/11 conspiracy theories, much of this I see on a daily basis and it's mainly a collection of news footage, not commentary like in the first part. For me it didn't have the spark that first and third parts had, but I think as a lead up to the third part it works well.

Don't mind the men behind the curtain goes into how a few people (bankers) are manipulating the people of the world through controlling money. Seems simple, inflate, create debt and call it in after enough time. It also goes into how war is used to make them even more money and gain even more control. One thing that I found interesting is that apparently in America there is NO law that says you have to pay your income tax, it's just assumed that there is.

I found it a very compelling watch, as for the honesty about it, I can't comment, that would probably take a life time of research.

You can watch it in its entirety below, its just over two hours long and this is a pre-release to the final version that is coming soon.

ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Full Production, Official Release.

If you don't want to watch the whole thing in one go, below are links to each part, each about 30 minutes long.

ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Part 1 : "The Greatest Story Ever Told"
ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Part 2 : "All The World's A Stage"
ZEITGEIST, The Movie - Part 3 : "Don't mind the men behind the curtain"

There are also even smaller chunks on youtube, each about ten minutes long if you don't want to tackle any of the above.

UPDATE 30 June 07: Just replaced all links to the new versions of Zeitgeist, the old versions are about to be deleted.

You can also find a list of Zeitgeist versions in about a dozen different languages on the main Zeitgeist website.

Return to the Moon Trailer from NASA

I just saw this on a CG forum, thought it may be of interest to some.

Couldn't find any info on it at the NASA site, just the link to watch the video.

The CG elements are alright, if not a little old school. It plays out like a trailer for a Hollywood movie.
