Behemoth Drawing

I drew this maybe 10 years ago, basic pencil on paper drawing, like most. I've always liked drawing giants, behemoths etc, probably why I like Bigfoot so much.

With this drawing of a huge tamed beast, I imagined a world that beasts like this were common, that accounts for the three parking posts. These beasts could crush anyone who rode them, much like Elephants they're still unpredictable, hence the warning signs.

Most of my drawings tie into a pretty much never ending story I'm working on, a lot of the world I imagine is all drawn out I just got to work on a beginning, middle and end. Bout time I focused on that, been literally years, you may not see me around here to much, got a hankering for some drawing.

Oh this is for Wordless Wednesday, though it has a few words and it's still Tuesday in a lot of the world, it's Wednesday here though.

Critique on the Drone/Strange Craft Photographs - A write up about the drone photos with some photos showing some fishy results.

Big-bird encounter one for the books - An eyewitness account of a pair of giant birds with a wing span of 20 feet. Nice story, really got my imagination going, I've always loved the idea of giant birds, I even did my high school design project about a local legend of a giant eagle, presumably based on the Haast Eagle.

Children as young as five to be fingerprinted in schools - This just doesn't seem right at all.

Gettysburg ghost stories - Home of one of my favorite ghost videos. I didn't know it was such a ghostly kind of place, I mean the Ghost Tours part.

WEEKLY WORLD NEWS to shut up shop? - I used to love this paper as kid, I used to read it wondering why I hadn't seen any of the stories on the nightly news, I was totally sucked in.

Halo3 shorts from Weta - When I first heard that Peter Jackson was set to produce a Halo movie I was pretty psyched, but then I heard it was canned. I can't believe I missed this though, it looks like Weta are still connected to Halo in a way, supplying props and supplies. Check out the teaser for the trailer below.

Black Panther of Canterbury New Zealand

John Campbell is a nightly current affairs show here in New Zealand and it regularly features paranormal related stories.

Last nights show had a story about The black panther of Canterbury which is in New Zealand, I missed it because of work but luckily they put the video of the segment up on their site, you can view the Black Panther segment here. I'm not sure how long they keep videos archived so that link may be redundant in a couple months.

The video is about a couple of uni students who are studying and putting together a documentary about the black panther, the video shows a few pictures of big cats and has accounts from a few people who have spotted the big cats themselves.

I think that a Black Panther roaming the Canterbury Back country could be plausible, it's got some big forests, plenty of birds to eat and it's a huge area of the country.

Some of the theories mentioned in the video about how it may have been introduced were giant feral cats like the reports in Australia, escaped animals from zoos etc, abandoned exotic pets or introduced way back when, by the settlers.

I really don't know which theory I like the best.
