Aussies in search of the Moa

There's a couple of Aussie cryptozoologists coming down to new Zealand in November in search of the giant flightless native NZ bird the Moa.

May be of interest to some, if you want to read more here's the link, Australian researchers in search of moa.

I've never been to Fiordland but from what I've read it's a pretty big wilderness area, though it also attracts a lot of tourists.

I wont explain this to much, just provide a few links to the stories. It looks awfully big though, in weight not so much in length.

Either I'm to into the paranormal, but hasn't there been an awful lot of squid and UFO news lately, wish there was more Bigfoot news.

Bigfoot video from Kentucky

I think it's time for another paranormal video blitz, I've been saving up those video links again.

Dang I'm lazy.

You've probably seen this video over at Cryptomundo so I won't go into much detail about the history. The video reminds me a lot of the video I mentioned in a post called Controversial Valentown ghost video, I have to say that I think they had better equipment in the Valentown video, but the two subjects look very blobby.

In the Bigfoot video it shows a lady leaving a plate (of what they say are pancakes) on the ground, it takes a while for the Bigfoot to come into camera view, the sas reaches out a picks up the plate and eats the pancakes.

The video quality is very bad and while waiting for sas to appear I thought that I saw saw about 20 ghostly figures appear, not really just looked like it.

Also on the time line I clicked back and fourth between the woman and the Sasquatch and they both look very similar, especially in size.

I do hope they get some better equipment because they say he visits regularly.

Bigfoot Sightings on Google Earth

I was visiting the bigfootforums and saw a thread titled "Google Earth Sighting Maps, Comprehensive Report Maps", this is very interesting, the thread starter has put together a file that includes hundreds of Bigfoot sightings that can be loaded up to Google earth, when I did that I was presented with a view of the U.S.A with literally hundreds of dots, each dot was a Bigfoot sighting and had links and info on each one.

I couldn't begin to imagine the amount of time that would have gone into putting all this together but I'm very pleased that someone has, if your into Bigfoot, I would have to say this is must to have.

You can get the file from the forum thread or from Mangani's BigfootMaps near the bottom of the page.

It's easy to use but you have to have at least Google Earth for it to work, just download Google earth, install. Then the bigfootreports.kmz file from the above link and double click it and your done, it will open in Google earth.

Before this I had only used Google earth to see my house, Area 51 and the travelling spots of my friends.

Odd Mondays Big Fish, Bear Wolf, Dragons and my uncle Ronny

Been getting into a lot of cryptid stuff lately, I just can't get enough of it. Sylvanic got me going, I really wanted it to be something substantial but judging by the reviews that are going around it seems no more than just a Blair Witch rip.

So this Monday will deal mainly with some cryptid news and stuff on the like.

I love fishing. Biggest fish I ever caught was a meter long barracuda. Nasty fish they are, big teeth, sea lice all through em, chew up your fishing gear. I don't know what the fish in this video is, it's pretty big, maybe a catfish?


This is an interesting story about sightings of a Bear-Wolf in Milwaukee, the description is of a creature that looks like a cross between a bear and a wolf and has pointy ears, sounds like a were wolf to me or a Wendigo maybe.

There's a lot of photos in this post about an unknown dead creature that was found by soldiers. Judging from the comments left, people seem to think it's an Orca, just posting it because there are so many photos of it.

This is old news but its new to me, I had never seen this picture before. It's supposedly of a dragon flying over the Himalayas in Tibet. It does look like a serpent of some sought and if you look at the space serpent video below, I guess you could say they a pretty similar. Found a nice discussion about it at unexplained-mysteries.com which has a few larger versions and enhanced versions of the picture.

I guess you all read about how Jack the Ripper's face has been revealed, well some say it looks like Freddy Mercury well I think he looks like my uncle Ronny.

Odd Monday Chimps Cryptids and Monsters

Time for another Odd Monday post, just before I start editing up MPLs next investigation video. So here's a few odd stories that I found interesting.

Chimps on the loose, well one any how. A woman in Santa Rosa photographed an animal she couldn't explain so she went to the zoo for some expert help, turns out it's what the believe to be an escaped Chimpanzee but they don't know from where. There is mention of sittings of a baby bear in the area, it's very hard to tell from the small pics provided with the article.

Next we have a huge list Cryptid Creatures. I haven't heard of most of them, my favorite from the list is the Shug Monkey, love the name.

The Monster is part of a bunch of fossils found on the island of Spitsbergen in Norway. There's some nice pictures in this article from National Geograhic and the mention of a 33-foot-long pliosaur dubbed "The Monster" with teethe the size of Cucumbers was to good to skip over.

Odd Mondays Ufos Earth and Big Cats

Ok a couple of days late but better late then never.

I bookmarked this story not reading it mainly because of the picture and head line. Turns out the photo was taken in my own country, something to look into more I think. The title of the story "Is it a UFO or a flying saucer?" got me thinking, aren't they the same thing but then if you see it is a flying saucer well then it ain't unidentified anymore is it. The photo was taken in February 1965 while the navy cruiser Royalist was in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. My first impression of the photograph was that it was a parachute but I find it hard to tell.

This video illustrating exactly how small we are in the scheme of things filled me all sorts of thoughts like why I hadn't studied astronomy instead of art.


Giant paw prints mystery this looks like a good mystery for a crypto group to look into, seems like Suffolk has a big cat on it's hands.

Wow that took up some space. Next we have the story of Idaho professor Jeffrey Meldrum who is shunned by his pairs for his research into bigfoot, all I really have to say is that with out people like Jeffrey Meldrum treading a unique path we would still be living on a flat world. Thanks to Rose from 6 Cents Investigations for emailing me the link to that story.

Invisible poisonous skyfish fly at 300 km/h all around us that's what this story is about, I know them as Rods, the story is kind of funny, talking about Japanese skyfish catchers and how the hobby isn't that safe because of the speed at which they travel and that they a very poisonous. It would be so cool if they were real especially the ones that are estimated to be over a hundred feet in length.

Odd Mondays clearing out the old

Welcome to the first Odd Mondays Odd news post. For now I'll write up brief descriptions of each story but as I start fresh next Monday I'll do research into the odd stories.

Little write up about the Okapi a rare giraffe like creature that lives in the congo, the picture with the story looks pretty cool.

A Brazilian Stonehenge has been discovered and It looks pretty descent judging by the 2 pics of it.

Wow Mekong catfish are huge, I wonder how old they get.

















A new species of hammerhead shark has been discovered in northwestern Atlantic Ocean. Speaking of sharks I had a newspaper clipping I used to carry around with me as a kid, I lost this years ago and have been searching the net for it ever since. The only info I had on it was its tiny caption that read something like this "Fishermen net a giant shark with eyes the size of bowling balls". The picture shows a huge shark head on the deck of a boat with huge black eyes with big ass teeth and really bad looking gums, it also had a tubby fellow standing next to it. I've searched the net for it for ages but have never found it. It looks a lot like this photoshoped one only much bigger.
Any help in finding this would be very appreciated.

Possible Abominable Snowman footprints found in Arkhangelsk, lots of photos but some are of bear prints.

I followed this story for awhile about a photograph of a female bigfoots eyes, it was pretty interesting how they got shunned and stuff.

Rare Rhino photographed for the first time, It looks so cute.

I think I may have posted about this before, the photo was taken in Newcastle and it shows a shadowy figure knelt down peeking around a corner. If it is a ghost it's really cool but it so easily be just some dude.

Galapagos Land tortoise is officially the worlds oldest living creature, I'm sure whale are supposed to live longer than that. Read in the newspaper a few years ago about a dead whale that had washed up some where in New Zealand that had an 1800s harpoon stuck in it. Hmm got to look into that some more.

I think that should be enough for now, I've found a few things I forgot to follow up on, should make some good posts.

Thylacine puppy photographed in Tasmania

I was searching for other paranormal blogs and spotted this story about a photographed Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger). It shows what appears to be a puppy Thylacine, the background story is nicely detailed also.

I just realized that that photo and story may have come from some where else so if anyone knows where it originated from please let me know and if it is originally from Natural Plane good story dude :)

[EDIT]I found where it came from, Cryptomundo pointed to it at The Book Of THoTH which is a new site to me and looks very interesting.

Australian Yowie (Bigfoot) caught on video

Years ago I saw a doucmentary about the Australian Yowie (Aussies bigfoot), I remember one photo on that show very well, the photo was from the early 1900s and it showed a man in front of a tree doing his 1900 type pose, behind that tree was a huge creature, maybe 13 feet tall plain as day, over the years I've tried searching the net for that photo but have never been able to find it.

I was searching for that photo today, instead of finding that Yowie photo I found a Yowie video.

This version has been litened up, I first saw the video on google videos and couldn't see anything so I searched for it on Youtube, everything seems to end up on there. It shows a creature standing next to a tree, it seems to blend in guite well with its surroundings but gets startled when the people filming notice it, it circles the tree and towards the left and the camera pans off to the right. The Yowie goes in one direction while the camera goes in the other, this kind of seems like a dileberate action by the camera man.

But who knows, it just looks so cute, little baby Wookie.

Found a thread on a forum called WickedLasers which was started by the person who filmed it.

Cryptomundo, cool collective crypto blog

I just came across cryptomundo I've been reading through it and it's a dang good read. It's all about adventures, theories in the field of Cryptozoology, it's nicely designed updated regularly and is very active. I added it to the sidebar if anyone wants to check it out.

Hunting for Orbs but got me a Dragon

I said in a previous post that I was going to try and capture some spirit orbs in some photos, I have been trying but haven't taken any photos. I don't want to take any photos at my house just encase I capture something (I'd crap my pants), so I've been trying to in some of my friends houses but they always ask me why I want to take photos, I tell em that I want to see if I can capture ghost orbs, they give me a funny look, laugh a little and then get a serious look on their faces, so no joy with the friends. I've thought about going to some graveyards in the area but what I've noticed about orb photos is that they are mostly night time pics or in dark buildings, I don't want to be in a graveyard at night.
I can't think of any other options at the moment, I think I'm just going to have to have my camera on me at all times and strike when the times right.

Like a liger a Polar bear Grizzly cross would be cool

Like the Liger "It's pretty much my favorite animal" ND "bred for its skills in magic" LOL, A Polar bear, Grizzly bear cross has been found in the wild as reported here . Polar bears are the largest bears around, now imagine it with a Grizzly paw and if it's anything like a liger which suffer from gigantism, that would be so cool. On the other hand this could endanger Grizzly and Polar species which is not so cool.

A day at the beach with a Taniwha sea monster

When I was a youngster me my bother and dad would go on a lot of beach walks along the coast near where I lived, we would always come back with neat stuff, sea junk, bird skeletons, animal skulls... There was always something interesting to be found.

On one of these occasions we started out walking along a beach we hadn't been to before, we all noticed a strange odder in the air, we continued walking and noticed in the distance a large number of sea gulls circling a small area of land right on the sea shore, so we went to check it out.

What we found was a large carcass, about the size of a killer whale, it was shaped like a banana with a fat middle, it had no discerning head, tale or flippers and was fully white. It reminded me of jelly and I remember being able to see its rib cage through its rotting flesh. I think we stayed around it for probably an hour trying to figure out what it was, but we couldn't.
We went on our way, had our day and passed it on the way back, there were two men around it at this time, they seemed to be as puzzled as we were. When we arrived home I asked my dad what he thought it was and he said "Taniwha".

To this day I still don't know what it was, we looked in the local papers to see if there was any mention of a beached whale or anything, but nothing. The conclusion I've accepted is that it was a Taniwha.
